AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS · CLAMSHELL LABELING
Apply one pressure-sensitive label across the top, closure side, and bottom of a clamshell with controlled product handling from entry through wipe-down.

THE SYSTEM
The 610CS is a fully automatic commercial labeling system configured around the product. It combines a Model 110S applicator, Eagle Belt Conveyor, touchscreen HMI, product sensor, hold-down rails, and dedicated wipe-down brushes.
For clamshells, the applicator creates a long label flag in the product path. The moving container captures the adhesive, and the brushes fold the label smoothly over the top, closure side, and bottom.
The same platform can also be changed over for wipe-on top labeling of square boxes and other flat-top products.

HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
The closed clamshell travels on high-friction Eagle belts while overhead rails keep it flat and secure.
A photo-eye detects the leading edge and the Model 110S dispenses a long label flag into the product path.
The moving container contacts the exposed adhesive and pulls the label from the peel plate.
Top and bottom brushes fold and smooth the label over the top, closure side, and underside.
PRODUCT CONTROL
The 610CS combines adjustable transport, positioning, and wipe-down hardware to guide the package through each stage of the three-sided application.
Six 3/4-inch Eagle belts provide high-friction transport and can be repositioned for different product widths.
Overhead rails keep lightweight or hinged containers closed and stable through the application zone.
Vertical, lateral, and pitch adjustments align the Model 110S peel plate with the target surface.
Rail adjustments keep the product centered without squeezing, binding, or rotating it.
The HMI stores drive, applicator, label-delay, and stop-position settings for repeatable changeovers.
Dedicated wipe-down brushes fold the label across the package edges and smooth it onto all three surfaces.
APPLICATION EXAMPLE

BUILT TO CONFIGURE
Each 610CS is configured around the container, label placement, production speed, and required changeover range.
■ Crash-Through Seal: Applies one label across the top, closure side, and bottom of bakery, produce, and other hinged clamshell packages.
■ Wipe-On Top Apply: Labels square boxes and flat-top products after the bottom brush is moved clear.
■ Adjustable Guides: Side guides and overhead rails position and stabilize products through the label zone.
■ Flexible Applicator Position: Vertical, lateral, and pitch adjustments support product and label changes.
■ Optional Coding: An Open Date hot-foil imprinter can add batch, lot, expiry, or use-by information before application.
